Daniel Lonic, M.D. (USA)

Dr. Lonic received his medical degree at Phipipps-University Marburg in 2003.  In 2004 he received his doctorate in medicine and also his additional ECFMG/ MD(USA) degree. He then completed his residency training at Bogenhausen Municipal Hospital under Prof. Dr. Milomir Ninkovic, a renowned Expert in the field of Microsurgery in 2010. During this time he already specialized in craniofacial surgery and facial plastic surgery, which also led him to an aesthetic fellowship with Dr. Robert S. Flowers in Honolulu, Hawai’i. After his position as senior consultant from 2010-14 he completed a craniofacial fellowship at Chang Gung Memorial Hospital in Taipei, Taiwan at the world’s largest and most famous Craniofacial Center. Under Prof. Lun-Jou Lo he published extensively on the topic of 2D and 3D imaging in craniofacial surgery and continued his scientific work at the Plastic Surgery Department of Regensburg University Hospital under the guidance of Prof. Dr. Dr. Lukas Prantl. He is currently the project manager of the Deutsche Cleft Kinderhilfe/Noordhoff Craniofacial Foundation collaboration projects for cleft centers in Hanoi and Ho-Chi-Minh-City, VIetnam. Dr. Lonic is also a board certified specialist in hand surgery since 2019. He and Dr. Dr. Loeffelbein founded MCLINIC in 2016 together.

You can talk about inner values as much as you like – yet most people derive a large part of their sense of self-worth and identity from their appearance. Especially in the case of congenital or accidental blemishes, one’s appearance takes on an above-average significance in a person’s life.

For Dr. Lonic, it is above all the patients’ moments of happiness after a successful procedure that encourage him in his work as an aesthetic surgeon. And precisely because one’s own appearance is such a highly personal matter, the personal planning of a procedure along individual goals is of great concern to him. After all, this is the only way to select and perform the truly appropriate treatment. Dr. Lonic is firmly convinced that satisfaction with one’s own appearance does not have to be a privilege, but that in dialogue there is always a way to bring together personal ideas with what is medically feasible.
