As of February 8, 2025, PD Dr. Elias Volkmer has been granted full authorization (24 months of training time) to provide specialized training in hand surgery.
This authorization is a prestigious recognition and an official seal of excellence for his outstanding expertise in hand surgery. The certification is only awarded under strict qualification criteria: Applicants must have treated a wide range of hand conditions and injuries, provide comprehensive performance statistics, and work in a training facility equipped with the necessary personnel and resources.
For MCLINIC, this represents yet another confirmation of the exceptional medical quality within our ranks. Dr. Volkmer and his team provide top-level care for acute and chronic hand injuries across three locations at Helios Klinikum – Pasing/Munich West, Perlach, and Dachau. With this new training authorization, he will now also be able to train specialists to become hand surgeons in accordance with the new training regulations.
